Projects
Greentown Commonwealth Electrons Lab (G-CELL)
Project G-CELL (Greentown Commonwealth Electrons Lab) is New England’s first shared-use, pilot-grade battery fabrication and testing facility designed to bridge the "missing middle" between benchtop R&D and commercial manufacturing.
Operated by Greentown Labs in partnership with The Battery Guild, the lab provides startups, academic researchers, and corporate innovation teams with open access to a state-of-the-art pilot dry room, pilot-scale electrode manufacturing, and standardized cell assembly and testing.
Our Team
The Battery Guild was founded by battery industry veterans with over 50 years of combined experience spanning electrochemistry, commercial cell production, engineering operations, and energy storage commercialization.
Dr. James Fleetwood, Founding Partner
James is a developer and investor in next-generation energy storage technologies with 10 years in battery research and commercialization. He has led projects over $100 million, supported companies raising $500 million+, advised investors on due diligence, and worked with startups growing beyond $100 million valuations. He has also led workforce development initiatives, training over 1,000 individuals in various aspects of battery production. With expertise across diverse chemistries, materials, and manufacturing processes, he is eager to advance battery innovation and U.S. manufacturing while training the next generation of energy professionals.
Reece Daniel, Founding Partner
Reece is a battery researcher and engineer with over 18 years of experience spanning industry and academia. As founder of Daniel Consulting Group, he has led projects across the full battery technology lifecycle, from benchtop beaker cells to commercial cell and pack production. A former Marine Corps helicopter mechanic, Reece brings a rare combination of deep electrochemical expertise and hands-on mechanical discipline to every project he touches, including laboratory design, equipment development, testing protocols, and safety systems.
Dr. Lincoln Miara, Founding Partner
Lincoln is a maaterials scientist aand serial entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience pioneering next-generation battery technologies and AI-driven materials discovery. Currently serving as President of Arcam Corporation, and co-founder of both astralQ and America Power Company, he leads initiatives ranging from robotic inorganic materials discovery and premium cathode material upcycling to AI energy management systems. Previously, he worked as CTO of Pure Lithium and as a Principal Engineer at Samsung Electronics.
Natasha George, Founding Partner
Natasha George is a proven entrepreneur and engineering leader with over 13 years in the battery and micromobility industries advancing early-stage initiatives at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations. She has a proven track record in implementing quality systems, scaling processes, and leading cross-functional teams to solve complex technical and operational challenges. Her achievements include driving 10x battery production scale-ups, developing and deploying standard operating procedures and data-driven workflows, and spearheading multi-million dollar manufacturing expansion plans.
